Aqua per Capita Team Background
Lead Artist BioJonee Kulman Brigham is an environmental artist at Full Spring Studio, LLC where she creates public art, artist’s books, and art-led environmental education projects. She explores themes of connection and flow between people and the rest of nature using story or a sequence of events and often mixes words and poetry with images or - in the case of public art - participatory actions. She is particularly interested in the storytelling potential of infrastructure to reveal how our daily lives are interconnected with nature – whether from a sink through pipes to the river, or from a light switch through power lines and power plants to the sky. Brigham’s public art includes sculptural as well as participatory and temporal work such as Aqua per Capita. Brigham, is also an architect and Research Fellow at the University of Minnesota, Center for Sustainable Building Research, and a Resident Fellow of the University of Minnesota Institute on the Environment where she is collaborating with other researchers and with schools on proposals to further pilot and evaluate her Earth Systems Journey model for art-led environmental education.
